The snow fell quietly one night last week.
Only a few inches laid on barren yards,
but it was enough.
Enough to raise expectations and anticipation in all my children.
They arose early the next day.
Peering out the windows, they guessed how much snow fell.
Disappointment in not getting 'snowed in,' quickly dissipitated
as they started discussed the snow ball fights to be won,
snow men to be built,
and snow angels to create.
The children waited until the clock chimed an acceptable hour
for loud outdoor play noise in our neighborhood of homes,
and then they raced out of the house.

ReplyDeleteCute snowman! Isn't snow wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a day that must have been. I'm so glad you now can laugh at the series of events...trust in our Lord...and count it all as blessing.
ReplyDeleteLet us know when it's time for the work to begin.
I was hoping to get The Sound of Music for Christmas, but we didn't. I think M would enjoy it. I struggle with borrowing from the library...our in town library charges fees for AV materials. The other library (over the county/state line) that I typically use is just too hard to get to every three days. But we have plenty to keep us busy for now.
I really like your blessing lists!

We had our first snow of the season last week, but it was a whopper! A blizzard that dumped two feet of snow on us. My children were so happy. Thanks for sharing your list!
