A Dress to a Spring Scarf

Almost a year ago, I took a couple of my daughters' dresses and turned them into aprons. They still use them so I needed to find another use for a few of their old dresses. {We give away most of their old dresses, but always have a few which we recycle the material.} As it turns out, my daughters have joined the scarf craze of the past few years. This led to the following project...

{I used dresses without sleeves.}

To completely finish it off, I added a piece of satin with lace from an old slip for the ends. I didn't like the uneven result and wanted it to be straight, but still retain that slight ruffle and feminine appearance. {This is not in the picture above.}
