As the rain subsides enough to venture outside for a few photographs of spring flowers,
I marvel at the benefits.
Flowers that were but buds a mere day or so ago, now burst forth
revealing their full beauty for all to see.
The rain has done its work in helping to produce a beautiful flower.

To me, it is a gentle reminder of the troubles and trials, {rain showers}
that work to produce beauty in my life.

445. family prayer time, and each child's voice lifted up in praise and prayer
446. birds chirping when I woke up at 4:30 AM
447. being able to fall back asleep for another hour of needed sleep (we get up early, but 4:30 is a bit earlier than usual)
448. birds still chirping all throughout the day
449. a daughter capturing a beautiful spring robin in a photograph
450. finding out about Dresses For Africa from Aurie
451. my sister and I unknowingly going to the same library at the same time
452. hearing from my niece about an exciting opportunity to serve others through her school
453. understanding that comes through experience
454. my three oldest singing in the choir for Saturday's music concert at a nursing home, and the joy it brought those in attendance
455. releasing the lady bugs we recently watched grow and change, and watching the lady bugs then crawl about the rose bushes
...and so it continues...

I just loved this list today! Just packed full of great things and it's hard to pick just one favorite, believe me! But I really loved the lady bug thing. I love those little bugs!!!!! And 454? That one just cheered up this old lady's heart!

ReplyDeleteWith all the rain we've been having it's been a little tough on my girls - so I simply started saying that God decided the world needed washing so He made it rain. Such a difference in my perception with I realized that God decides something as simple as rain :)
