Inspired by the conversational candy hearts the children receive annually from relatives,
I cut heart shapes out of colored papers and wrote on each heart.
Then, reusing the rope from this green and yellow banner (it was for the recent Super Bowl),
I threaded the hearts into place and hung them.
After completing one, I had a few hearts and a small section of yellow rope left over. It was enough to make a smaller, vertical banner.
This one features words from I Corinthians 13:13, and it, too, hangs in our dining room. Both banners were so simple to create, but each adds a sweet visual reminder of some of God's words on love to our home.
What a great idea! Very simple, but some of my favorite verses of scripture. Thanks for sharing! Maybe we will do that today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and it looks so cute! Awesome job of reusing and idea and the material to make your own banner!

ReplyDeleteI really think these are perfect...and perfectly simple!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely brilliant! I love it! So much better than the "hot stuff" and "be mine" conversation hearts. Plus, it's a great way to spread God's word and write it on the doorposts of our home.
ReplyDeleteDorie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine's Day by using what God says about love!
You are always so creative. You're children are fortunate to have such a creative mama. :)
