Easy Encouragement

I was not a cheerleader.

I never lead a pep rally

or

got a crowd chanting,

but over the years,

I have learned how to cheer on

and

encourage

my husband,

my children,

and others.

The easiest place to start is with a smile,

followed by a kind word.

Who will you encourage today?

"And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds."
Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)

~ and ~

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up,
just as in fact you are doing."
I Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

  3. Great thoughts - as wives and mothers we are called to cheer our families on. As sisters-in-Christ, we are called to build one another up with our words. Thanks for sharing!

Stopping by to say "hi" from iFellowship!

  4. Great post! I was a basketball cheerleader in my youth, but it is cheering and encouraging that I do today for my husband and my girls that I am most proud of! (that, and I don't think I could fit into the uniform!)

  5. Dorie, I love this. We all have the ability to encourage someone and it doesn't take some big grand gesture. Blessings to you & yours.

  6. Wow! I love this!!! I am constantly telling the ladies in my ministry to be their husband's biggest cheerleader - not to tear him down in front of your friends.

Great word here! I'm going to be my family & friends cheerleader today! Thanks for such a great reminder!

I'm here from iFellowship - just a day late! LOL!
