Homemade Stationary

Inspired by the lovely style of the free printable gratitude pages available at A Holy Experience, and spurred on by the excitement of making a homemade gift for the moms in my family, I created stationary using my own photographs organized into collage headers.

Beneath each collage, I typed a simple sentiment.
Words like "From my heart to yours..." and  "Thoughts of you make me smile!" are printed
immediately below each collage header.

The rest of the paper is blank for letter writing.
As each of the moms in my family are pen and paper letter writers,
stationary is a practical gift for them.

This is my personal favorite stationary sheet.
I like that there is something other than flowers on the header,
and that the sentiment can either be cheeky with a play on the word roam
and the Rome-like photograph motif
or more meaningful with an emphasis on hearts at home.

The paper I used was left over from a previous project.  It is a lighter weight
than card stock, but still sturdy.
If I make any more stationary, I think I will use the left over resume paper
I still have from over a decade ago.
It is a soft cream color with a slight texture to it.
Plus, there are matching envelopes, and I am already envisioning embellishing them as well.

This particular stationary was inspired by my sister,
and I can't wait to give her this one for Mother's Day.
