Snowy Trees in April

Upon returning home one day, we saw this scene.

After we arrived home, the three older children and I decided to walk back
to the roadside row of snowy trees with our cameras in hand.

After all, just like real snow in April,

these snow white flowers didn't last long.
Their beauty has since given way to a multitude of green leaves.

 We are grateful for our photographs helping us to remember their beauty for many days to come.

Yet, their brevity reminds me of our days:

O LORD, what is man that you regard him,
or the son of man that you think of him?
Man is like a breath;
his days are like a passing shadow.

Psalm 144:3-4 ESV

and this is what I ponder, now, as I gaze upon the beauty of snowy trees in April...
