Building Wisely ~ Praying a Proverb

The wise woman builds her house,

But the foolish tears it down with her own hands. 

Proverbs 14:1 NASB

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2 NASB

Lord, may I be a wise woman
who seeks to build my marriage, family, and home,
and not tear it down.
Cause my actions, words, and motives
to be pure,
of You, and for You.
When I stumble, as I so often do,
may I remember your grace and mercy
work through all my feeble attempts.
You are the true builder,
creating a marriage, family, and home
despite my failures.
Please, Lord, use my hands, my words,
my abilities, my life...
to build my marriage,
my family,
and my home...
for Your glory.
