...because there's only so much time
in a day
in a year
in a lifetime.
This is the year I'll...
exercise more.
eat better.
lose weight.
read that classic, or best seller.
learn to use my time better.
worry less.
No matter what you name a year, the word you choose, five words you pen, or sentence you cleverly concoct, be sure to declare with me: It will be The Best Year Yet!
Friend, we are older now, have more experience, and maybe are even a little wiser for the journey.
"Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:15
We know what to do to make our lives better.
We don't need to read another self-help book or list of improvements.
No, we simply need to get out there and do it.
It will be tough at times. We may even fall flat on our faces.
But let's help each other, encourage one another.
Pick up a fallen friend when needed,
and point the way to Him a little clearer.
"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to life him up." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Here's to living the dream, and stepping out in faith, as He directs, a bit more this upcoming year.
Or, at least trying.
~ Dorie
"So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom."
Psalm 90:12
These are lovely sentiments, and the photos are beautiful! May each year be the best one yet!
