"I want wings for my birthday," my four year old tells me as he zooms into the room.
"Big wings. Then I can fly!"
"Oh yeah," I laugh aloud.
"When I get my wings," he excitedly explains, "then I can soar very high. Up in the sky!"
I smile as he zips back out of the room, and know that I hope he gets his wings someday, too.
Wings to fly and soar when he grows into a man, living out his life.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 |
How sweet!!
