To read these verses in their entirety: I Corinthians 3:1-3
Every time I read Paul's words written to the Corinthians so long ago,
I marvel at how applicable they are to my life today.
There are areas in my life that I must confess, I am still immature,
and 'not yet able to receive' instruction.
In these areas, I am drinking milk, not eating solid food.
For these fleshy areas, I hope and pray for a change of heart attitude and growth.

stunning. simply stunning. Thank you for blessing me today!
ReplyDeleteAmen! As a member of the baby boomer generation, this Good News from the Word of God is just as applicable to us no matter HOW long we've been walking with God. There are constantly new things to learn and old lessons to be reinforced. And God uses all that to help me then pass on those lessons to my grandkids when I am busy babysitting the grandchildren. Thank you for a lovely Word-Filled Wednesday. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree...it's so easy to be fleshy...it's our nature. Thankfully He lives within us...so we don't always give in.
ReplyDeleteI love how God has relevant food for each growth and even decline area of our lives.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, the walk of the cross is one where our maturation is ongoing. We never "arrive" until we arrive with Him.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this transparent word.
thanks for sharing these thoughts. If we would examine and be honest, I think we all would find some areas where we've been sipping on milk. Your blog is beautiful.
