Wise Teaching ~ Praying a Proverb

"The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life,
To turn aside from the snares of death."
Proverbs 13:14

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7

A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone,
after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.
~ Jesus  Luke 6:40

Dear Lord,
Teaching anyone is a large responsibility,
but the molding and training of children sometimes looms larger than life.
It is not a small task.
As a wife and a mother, Your word calls me to partner with my husband
in the teaching and training of our children
so they will learn Your ways, and know, love, and worship You.
I know that a pupil will become like their teacher,
and that You will equip us with all we need to complete the tasks You bestow.
Please, Lord, continue to give us a humble spirit that we may daily learn from You,
increasing our knowledge and wisdom.
Then, we may in turn mold and train the children You have blessed us with by wisely teaching them to turn away from the snares of death
and seek You all the days of their lives.
Amen.
