Flying Faithfully

They fly in droves.
Flocks filling the air
landing in the trees,
eating from thawing ground.
Satisfied, they move on.

Do you not know?  Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28   NASB

Spring emerges
as birds migrate north,
following the sun's movements.
Their bodies need no one to direct or lead them
for they are finely tuned to their guide.

The sun is their guide.

The Son is my Guide.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; Isaiah 40:29-30  NASB

Do I follow the Son's movements as closely?

Am I so finely tuned into Him,
knowing when I need to change directions
in my life?
Is there anything holding me stationary? 
Or, am I holding onto something too tightly,
unable to fly freely?
Do I need to let go of something, lay it down? 

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31  NASB

Am I flying in faith?
