On Holy Ground

...the few remaining leaves of our burning bush...

Each autumn, when the green leaves fade and the fire red emerges,

I think of the moment when God spoke to Moses from the burning bush.

Then He said, "Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet,

for the place on which you are standing is holy ground."

Exodus 3:5
