Good Gifts

Gifts...

good gifts to your children...

 {day 6 of DPP...wrapping gifts today, and these thoughts overflowed}

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” ~ Jesus  Matthew 7:11

...what is good...

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” ~ Jesus  Luke 11:13

Who could ask for a better gift?

For the Holy Spirit is a gift that keeps giving...

as a promise...

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, The gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

with fruit...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

in intercession...

 

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words; Romans 8:26

and with more gifts...

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. I Corinthians 12:4,7, and 11

Thank you, LORD, for your gift of the Holy Spirit.
